I'm going to keep both, unless further testing results in something just not working (as was the case with Affinity). Here is a big comparison between Affinity Photo, Luminar 4, Lightroom Classic and Nik Collection. So if you don't like the initial, more or less automatic, results, you have many more tools to get to where you want to be. Luminar, OTOH, doesn't for me give as immediate 'yes I've save that' results on rendering, but it has many more adjustments than PC. Interestingly, many of their features are worlds apart, though the programs do offer RAW support and conversion for photographers working with RAW files. When that happens, I find it hard in PC to get a happy medium - the adjustments are not very many, as is appropriate for a program based on AI-driven automatic adjustments. Both Affinity Photo and Luminar 4 offer a lot of functionality for the price. But sometimes it gives for me results that are a little too much - turning flowing water into something solid, for example. The latter is much more in the 'automatic' mode of doing adjustments, and it does then well. There is a difference between Luminar and PC. Perfectly Clear is also excellent on my machine. It's interesting that, of those posting problems and indicating an O/S, Win10 is the one most often mentioned. The reason I'm doing this is that I've seen too many people compare these two Softwares, and I really don't think you can compare this great software to each other. Again, give the number of posts reporting problems, I'm in the minority.

Skylum charges for each major upgrade of Luminar (which comes on a roughly yearly basis). Both offer frequent promotions such as Affinity’s 50 off promotion that happens at this moment.

Luminar so far has been excellent, with no problems as of yet. Affinity Photo 1.9 offers a lifetime license at 50 (for all devices running the same operating system) and Luminar 4 at around 80 (for 1 device). It is worth mentioning that it is necessary to buy Affinity separately for each operating system.

It is possible to install software on up to two PCs for commercial use, or up to five PCs for the home environment (non-commercial use). So I can't really say anything about it except that. Affinity Photo is more affordable if we talk about Luminar vs Affinity in terms of pricing. Affinity simply was a disaster on my system, although I seem to be very much in the minority.
